In July 2009 I left Australia for Zambia, providing IT support and basic computer skills training for missions operating within Ndola, a city on the northern Congalese border. The missions I'm involved with operate within the Overspill compound of a suburb called Twapia, one of the lowest socio economic regions within the city. This site compiles all of my adventures (news section) including marrying my beautiful Zambian bride Sylvia Chimbala, battles with Zambian Immigration, and managing a banana farm (Cool Bananas) and non profit organisation 'Luyando Community Services'. |

Quite often, our ability to plan and work towards the fulfilment of a desire, want or need, hinges entirely upon how we define that desire. Whether we are expressing a need verbally, or simply thinking through an issue, the terms we use when speaking or thinking often influence how we plan to meet a specific goal or need.

So just in case someone else could find this useful, I hope to put up a brief overview of what Sylvia's application contained, and how it was laid out.
Again before I start, the usual disclaimer. I AM NOT A MIGRATION AGENT. I am just posting up how we (Sylvia and I) tackled the migration process to Australia, and my experience of it. THIS PAGE IS NOT ADVICE, just a journal of how we applied. We are not offering immigration advice, so use this page at your own discretion.
With that out of the way.... this was the gist of the covering letter which accompanied the application.
