Well, this has taken me a while to write this post - but Sylvia's spousal visa has been approved! It only took 3 weeks to process! I honestly put this down to a miracle as we were told on submitting the application to expect wait of 1 - 2 years... which was waaaaay too long to be apart. After a lot of praying and submitting the best application I possibly could, the Lord has definitely blessed us with a granted migration visa!

After reading online reviews concerning the processing of Aussie migrant visas - I was expecting it to take 1 to 2 months just to be assigned a case officer who we would communicate with. The first and ONLY time we were contacted (other than brief emails acknowledging the receipt of the application) was to let us know that the application had been successful and we were to courier Sylvia's passport from Zambia to Johannesburg ASAP so the visa could be attached to it.

We did this and 2 weeks later arranged for DHL to pick it up from the Johannesburg VFS office in (58 Jan Smuts, Rosebank), as the Pretoria High Commission processes all visas through this office. As well as the visa, Sylvia also received an official letter of welcome into Australia!

All that is left now is for Sylvia to make her first entry into Australia under the visa, which is in 2 weeks! In time I hope to post up an outline of our application (i.e. covering letter), to help anyone going through the application process. Again, I AM NOT A MIGRATION AGENT, I'm just someone who has been through the process, so DON'T TAKE THIS AS PROFESSIONAL ADVICE (I am unqualified). Praise God though, I have never heard of such a quick processing from anywhere in the world... let alone a central African country.
